Q7 Smoke from Engine hood

Hello all
My sister has a Q7 2009 3.0 TDI that recently we cleaned took the egr apart, cleaned and refixed.
Now we notice that after pressing the gas, smoke seems coming from the hood area.
Please any help where could this be coming from?
