Good luck, I just sure hope you didn't get one of the duff oil guzzling 2.0 tfsi's. My old boss had a nightmare with his A5 2.0 tfsi and Audi UK didn't want to know, whereas Audi US were replacing the engines f.o.c!

Thanks. It's a 2009 2.0 tfsi but it was cheap because its got roof issues. Time will tell on oil but it has full Audi history until 40k so hopefully it's OK.

Fingers crossed for you. For reference my friends had an Audi history also. Google the issue there is plenty of info on it, it was a piston issue iirc.

I believe it only affected particular batches of engine. Pretty sure his was a 62 plate so yours might be fine. It'll use about a litre of oil per 500 miles if it's on the way out.

Yeah I'm well aware of the issue. It's just bad luck I think if you get one.

Did they publish engine or batch numbers?
