Only come to about quarter of a mill, not a lot these days, shame 'funbags' would no doubt take it all at some point...:bye:

I would want to upgrade to a S63, but my favourite car would have to be the Mansory S63. Wonder how long a 1000hp S63 will last ;p

I saw one at Mercedes World a couple of months ago. Really nice. £121k

Ferrari F40, or a Lancia Stratos, oops sorry that's two

Opel manta GT/E and renault 19 16v in equal measures. Have a few of both in the garage and like them for different reasons.

VW Corrado, Honda CRX, and the Honda Integra type R.

Speaking from a budget perspective obviously. Otherwise it would be the GTR aka Godzilla. :)

Ive owned all three of those, loads of CRX's but the best was a very late built mk2 VT which I turbo charged with a T28, ran 201 bhp which is more than enough in a CRX, then a DC5 integra, lovely car but a bit bland compared to the CRX, then I went dub and got a lovely Corrado storm in mystic blue, had to rebuilt the engine after 6 mths when the bottom end let go but I loved that car, it was true beauty but had to let it go when I got divorced..

I'll have to say my much loved 1991 Astra mk2 GTE 16v track car (road legal) that I've owned since 2004. It's been a pleasure to work on and to drive. Never let me down on circuit and definitely the best car I've ever owned and still own :) A few more details about it in my diary, follow the link under the picture.

Citroen Cactus. Simple, cheap, economical and "does what it says on the tin"

Reminds me of the old A2 (used to have one of those too)

Either the cactus or a GT2 RS

Sorry but I must chime in here to comment on a Citroen cactus.
They must be the single most fugliest thing on 4 wheels mate.
What's with all them shin pads on the doors and that?
I understand the advertising blurb about pedestrian safety and that but really?
I would rather get ran over by a good looking car with sharp edges, also, them bits of padded bra on the side ain't going to make an iota of a difference.
What do you wash that with?
Persil or Daz automatic?
And honestly, brand new up until 2 years old they probably drive nice too.
After that, well, it's a shi7ron innit? So will probably be off the road for something ridiculous more, rather than on the road.
PSA cars are bobbins really.
Sorry for the rant

Mercedes, I came from Mercedes so outside of Audi I would always go back to Mercedes.

It is definitely a "marmite" car. The soft door panels and bumpers are not for pedestrian safety, its so you can **** it about in a carpark and not worry about minor scrapes and bumps. AND not worry about idiots denting you with their car doors, shopping trolly dings etc.

The Cactus was designed with a certain use in mind: As a city car which is low stress. The R&D brief that went in to the front seats was "it should be like your favourite armchair".

I think the designers were very brave with their engineering choices and had clarity of purpose designing the cactus. Everything is functional and low stress. There are some crap bits, but on the whole I respect the engineering and how they achieved what they did.

What they ended up with is a cheap, comfortable, reliable, economical (50mpg was easy) car that met it's brief perfectly and thought about the driver and ownership experience first. What's the solution to the annoyance of small dents and scratches? Make the car dent proof. Even the dashboard was designed flat with a high friction surface to act like a coffee table for munching sandwiches off. Also, the tiny 3cyl turbo managed over 100bhp in a very light car.

Look, it might not be fancy or fast, but I respect the engineering of that car as much as the RS3 and the Cactus makes me smile every time I see it. I bought it for 7k and it charmed me every second I owned it.

I might like my RS3, and like it for very different reasons, but I love the Cactus.

**** anyone who doesn't agree :p

Just had a BMW 330 for a month. Great car. Never been a fan of BMW but great package and has peaked my interest to change.

Dream car would be new RS6. Does everything !

Toyota Supra twin turbo for me, always been my dream car and look at it I mean come on, still to this day you cant get a better looking side chick than that its just perfect, she's curvy with a slim waist, big but, gorgeous eyes, even without her make up on (bodykit) she's beautiful, and she loves it if you grab her by the throat and man handle her she will just take it all day. :tonguewink:
