Software update of Gearbox Control Unit

Hi, I've received a letter from my dealer advising that my A3 requires a service campaign - 37J3 for W-Software update of the Gearbox Control Unit. Anyone else received this request or any idea what it is.

My car is a 2014 1.4 Stronic

I've not received anything from my dealer but my A3 uses the different 6-speed wet-clutch s-tronic so may be it only applies to the 7-speed dry-clutch version.

I haven't had anything. Mine is a 2015 model though.

I've also heard nothing from my dealer and I have the 1.4 COD with 7 speed S-Tronic.

I'll find out more when its booked in and let those of you with a dry crutch (sic) set up know what it is.

The advice from Audi is that the originally installed software to my build may sporadically draw too much current from the battery hence the replacement - this will obviously only affect certain build weeks so don't stress all you with 7 speed dry crutches!
