Sound deadening

Has anyone applied sound deadening treatment to their doors and if so, what were the improvements? Any advice?

Looking to do this to my 2012 A4 front doors.

using both greatly enhances the effect, I have the full interior of the GTR done with both made a HUGE difference.

Will this not restrict any mobile/GPS/radio signal with all that aluminium backing on them?
