My A4 has developed a fault with the start stop system. Every time I start the car I get the error, Start Stop system: System Fault. Function is disabled.
The start/stop system then doesn't function. Turning the start stop system off/on brings the error back up.
It seems to be a co-incidence that I just had the clutch/flywheel replaced. I've been back at the garage and they assure me all the sensors related to start/stop are inside the cabin in the footwell next to the pedals, and not something they would have disturbed when changing the clutch.
They also tell me their diagnostic tool can't communicate with the start stop system and I need to get it into the dealer.
I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar fault ?
