Std MY2000 A3 Audi Concert Radio Upgrade

Hi All,

I am looking to change the std sterio to an Audi bose cd player. I have seen a few on e-bay but I am not sure if they are the right type to fit my car.

What should I look for? Some state the serial/model number, is there a part of the code which tells you it will fit?

Also is it possible to buy a glove box cd changer and simply connect it to the stereo? Would I need to buy an extra lead as well??

The Concert II HU won't work in pre-canbus A3 models, so you'd need to check yours is a CANBUS controlled HU (they changed over around 2000/2001. All Concert II's use the CANBUS to turn the unit on or off, without it the HU will automatically switch off after an hour. As long as you get one from an A3/S3 you should be fine. The fascia does differ on models from TT's and A4's etc so might not sit flush in the dash.
