Steering wheel feels heavy when turning - is that normal

Afternoon all
When turning, the steering wheel feels heavy on the car.
Is that normal?
Tyre pressure is just above the recommended at 35psi

Do these have speed sensitive steering systems (i.e. steering is lighter at low speeds)?

Well my 2011 S4 has variable assistance steering, so when dropping speed down, it does seem quite heavy before the assistance is increased at a certain speed.
That car has the older hydraulic power steering.

Put it this way, if my wife ever drove that car, she would probably get a fright the first few times she discovered that!

I do find the A4 steering feels heavier than other cars I’ve driven.

I like it.

Just bought a b8 dynamik and love the heavy steering, you can feel it start to get heavy as soon as you build up speed.
