Hey, so my car came with the standard exhaust. Which sounds great but I wouldn't mind just a little more volume / aggression, as such started looking into simple mods I could do to the oem unit. I've read a bit about doing res delete and re routing the back box. Has anyone done this on a standard (not sport) exhaust that can confirm the difference it makes?

Additionally, the 2 terms that have been coming up are "gutting the resonators" and "res delete". Am I right in assuming gutting is just the process of clearing out the internals on the existing exhaust? So externally it looks exactly the same? And res delete they cut the resonators off and weld new pipes on?

Last noob question - is the resonator the same thing as the bullet silencers just up from the back box or are these entirely separate components?

Thanks

The resonators are the 2 cylinders further upstream from the backbox yes.
As for changing them, I would not bother, makes no real difference aside from adding a good chunk of drone. You could have the back box modified and get a little more volume this way.
