Strange problem, maybe immobiliser related!!

Sometimes when i get in my car it will just turn over and wont start as if the immobiliser is kicking in... on the dash i get the keycode symbol....

Keep trying then it fires up..
My missus said she had a Golf which did the same thing.
Any ideas what the issue could be, i dont have Vagcom at the minute so cant check anything on that

Try another key, maybe the coil in ignition, but tbh without a scan you wont know.

Wont be immo as with that the car will start and then die within 2 seconds if it's dodgy.

Beachbuggy is correct if it is immo problem car will start for 2 seconds then die. I have immo off solutions in ecus if anybody requires these services.
