Stubby Ariel

I came across a thread in the R32 Owners Club forum (http://r32oc.com/showthread.php?t=648) and it shows a stubby replacement ariel which fits the R32 Golf. Just wondered if anyone has fitted this to the A3. I think it looks much better than the original one on my A3, and am considering getting one. What do other people think? Also what size is the ariel screw on the A3. The website which this thread suggest to get them from (http://www.parts4euro.com/cgi-bin/PPStore/ppstore.cgi?database=Products&action=view_product&productID=30008&category=0) says that they are 5mm, and list VWs in the cars they fit but no mention of Audis.

I want to keep it looking OEM, and thats why I was looking at the one for $29.99 in the original thread. Remember that thats only about £15, and they say international postage on small items is free. Still I'm tempted by the S2000 one as it looks standard. I take its made on a similar material to the base on the existing aerial so it won't look out of place?

I had this on my old A3 and to be honest i think all modern honda aerials are the same and therefore will all fit, i think mine came off a crv!
