Swap a space saver tyre from 2014 Avant to 2019 Avant.

Hi. I have bought an Audi A4 Avant quattro 2019. I don't have it yet.... It has so space saver tyre I have the opportunity right now, to have a space saver from a 2014 A4 Avant quattro 2014. Does anyone know how I determine if it would a) fit my new car , and b) fit in the boot underneath the cover, where the tyre was in the 2014 model? Any help would be really appreciated - thank you!

If the diameter is the same (eg 19" to 19") then it will fit and work on your car. The new car may not have the right inserts in the boot to accommodate the wheel. Whilst you are liberating the spare wheel from the donor car at least take a note of the part numbers of the surrounding trays etc.

That said, if the new car has a 48V hybrid system I understand this sits in the boot where the spare wheel used to be. In which case it wouldn't work at all.
