Symphony II cd player Error 3

Has anyone had this error message on their cd player?
I sold my symphony cd player and he has said it comes up with error 3 when he tries to put in a cd. He says in the book it says hold the eject button down to clear it but this does not help. Has anyone had the smae problem and cured it another way? it also says in the book to take it to the stealer if problem does not go away. He only bought it for £60 so it ain't worth going to the stealer caue they'll charge him about that just to look.

Mine had error 3 and had to go back to Germany to have my cd's removed from it. I had a new unit fitted under warranty

I had similar problem (not sure which Error no it was), so the solution was to unplug the main battery and then reconnect and error message disappeared.

i think error 3 is "disc unreadable" or a disc jam. You might be able to disassemble it carefully and remove them.
