The "Rimz" Thread ** Look here before requesting pics of specific wheels**

I have an 8P1 2.0 FSI, and I hate the standard 16's on it. I've gone through all of this thread and prefer wheels like the LM's, speedlines, or even the pro race 1.2's but probably in silver over black. At the moment I can't afford coilovers and even then I can't drop it too far as the speed bumps around here are huge. Is it worth it? I don't want a tractor but surely an 18" wheel on standard suspension will look better than the 16's currently on there! Thanks

I had 19" BBS CH on my 8P1 TDI on coilovers and never had a single problem with ramps - same with my 8P2 S3, same wheels, lowered on springs with no issues.

Unless you are wanting to scrape the ground, you should not have any lowering problems.

That said, I would lower first then wheels as you do not want to drive around looking like a tractor

I have a lovely set of genuine audi rs6 alloys for sale. I had s-line suspension set up on my 8p and they looked decent.

Is there anywhere that does rotor copies that has an OEM type finish? All the ones I look at are gloss rather than the matt finish from the factory?

Thanks in advance.

Trying to decide upon keeping my Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s sliver or spraying gloss black / dark purple. My car is a 2010 white sportback S3, looking for pictures of these wheels to help! Anyone? Looked through 17 pages on here to no avail. Help!!!

There's a couple of sets for sale on the Dub Fiction Wheel Emporium group on Facebook. Need to be careful however, there are reps available of the Helios now.

I have owned this Baby for 4 years. Different Looks over the years.

Yeh its static mate, minimal rubbing but not a lot on the fronts so bringing it down more when get back from uni and the rears did rub a bit only when loaded, when was just me in car no problems at all but used angle grinder and scissors to get rid of the plastic, metal and arch liner that was rubbing. Did this when we put the spacers in and now running like this, to be fair rears running extremely close but no major problems, honestly if got more than 3 people in does scrub rears tho:

The rear is OK, I'm afraid about the front, need 3mm shim to get more clearance.

Like with spacer, I would buy 3mm shim w/o center hub ring and a little bit longer screws. I measure everything and that's the best solution. If it wouldn't solve a problem then I would buy 3mm spacer with center hub ring from 57,1mm to 66,6. What are you afraid of?

Those CH-R's Look good, Do they clear the rs3 brakes with the spacer??

As above et40, there's no clearance between arm and RS caliper, need 3mm spacer.

Do you know the width of the wheels? And what size tyres do they have? ET42 is pretty low for an A3 if the wheels is more than 8" wide, and wearing bigger tyres than 225/35R19s.
