They don't make bulbs and packing like they used too.

I was having a few hour on the V8 bus over the weekend , it needs a new MOT well legally it doesn't but there is a lot of non testable items on it so silly to not get one just in case.
nearside bulb was a bit dim so decided to replace it, had a rummage in the spares cabinet and found two left.
Still in there original packaging , and you wont find these on a shelf at your local ECP , halfords etc.
Very eco friendly packaging indeedy.

Going by the Crows foot on the packaging I would they are ex MoD.

Not just MoD; they appear to date from WW2. Note the wording 'Paper is a munition of war - be sure this wrapper goes to your local salvage department'. Interesting the bulb size is given in metric, though.
