I remember my first Mexico ( I had a few) Escort Mexico (Ex Liverpol Police car) I was on cloud cuckoo land, and boy was it fast?............................97mph top speed 0-60..........11.5 seconds..how quick is that

Any car looks good in a showroom though not a fan of the white saloon A3/S3/RS3....said it so many times it looks similar to a wedding car

I don't think he's ruined anybody's week, certainly not mine lol. The RS3 is 21 bhp down on the A45s and 10kg heavier. When you calculate the differences in tyres, driver weights, power deficit and the other contributory factors, they are probably quite evenly matched which has to only be a win for the RS3 really having less power. The most important thing was from a standing start and with a perfect launch for both, the RS3 edged it. A45s did stop impressively quick though!
3.4 to 60 though is impressive given how cold it was. 3.1 easily achievable with the trofeo tyres and warmer climate I'd have thought.

Google suggests it is 1550-1560kg kerb weight so who knows what weight it is lolPretty sure Joe got the A45s weight wrong

I don’t get why we a few VS trims that have build dates and everyone else has nothing. Doesn’t make sense.

You think the most important thing is a standing start from a perfect launch? I would say that's one of the least important things when it comes to real world driving. In gear responsiveness is much more of a benefit.
The RS3 might be heavier (not sure that's right anyway), less powered, etc etc, but that makes it even more disappointing in my eyes and certainly not a win. Nothing good about coming second to your direct (and older) competitor, whether you have reasons or not.

Mine was still W49 this morning, whether that has also moved to W48 like the other on here who knows, I find dealer response a little lackluster and needs a prompt most weeks.
I'm also wondering if some dealers could be swapping car orders around to suit their greed, sorry needs, I say that beacuse a 'demo' car that I was told was built and complete but awaiting shipping about 3 weeks ago is now not going to get here until the middle of January which I find a little odd? I suspect the dealership have perhaps sold it themselves or through another dealer, sort of swapped cars?
I suspect there is a lot of back handers and stuff going on behind the dealers chrome, glass and smoke screen
Well just had my first major problem with the RS. Break it alarm went off on my phone and cars alarm went off. For 10 mins straight, resetting the alarm on the app, unlocking & locking the car did nothing, turned the car on which did nothing. Had to go up and down my road for it to turn off. ****** ridiculous. Will be getting straight onto the phone to Audi in the morning, can’t be having that happen again

That makes no sense. If you use the key to unlock the car then the alarm will turn off because the car is unlocked...
I think the Rs3 is putting out a fair bit more than the 400 stated from what I've seen in the video's
Does it matter in the real world nah...does any of this youtubers $hit matter...not at all... they are all just out there for sensationalism and to make money from youtube ....you/we buy what we like and can afford...simples....but if yer like Private@T-1000 Ryan ....with the mega discount Not a problem .....l was in the Foreign Legion yonks...ago should av mentioned that when buying ...lol

Personally, I don’t mind how fast it is compared to the other cars. Given the chance I’d pick it for the 5 pot, Quattro, interior, diff and those wider arches.
All of which are as good, if not better, than those other cars for me. You’re paying the price for it, but depending what you want then it’s worth it.

Still don’t get this running in comfort mode stuff. I’m not interested in comfort mode, stick it in dynamic! The only thing I’ll run in comfort is the suspension!

Me either. At the end of the day, 95% of us are buying the car for what it is. The other 5% will care about the fact it’s lighter and a touch slower on kick down in comfort mode because they plan to take it to 1000bhp. I’m not that guy.

Exactly. Just like the people that really want an M2 are willing to accept it having a bit of a naff interior and be completely useless in anything other than warm, dry roads.
I’d like to do some slight exhaust mods and maybe a tube down the line, but I won’t be going crazy with mine I don’t think. I look forward to seeing those that do though!
