Help Please turbo actuator

Hi, im having problems with my turbo and have been told its the actuator.
from cold the car is fine but turn it off when warm and no turbo.could it be the motor on the actuator getting hot?.
Fault code P0046
On a 3.0 v6 tdi ,2009 with 1025000 miles on the clock.
any help would be great

Take the actuator rod off and see if the turbo lever moves freely. If so then maybe the actuator itself needs replacing.

2260? Or bv50 unit?

If it's a 2009 A4 it will be a 2260 surely not a BV50. The BW KKK BV50 turbos do have lots of issues with the actuators. The Hella Garrett 2260 actuators are quite reliable.
