Tyre loadings

Hi guys,

Do I need extra load tyres for my 1.9TDI quattro avant? About to buy 4 winter Pirelli's but can only get them in a 91 load rating, the tyres fitted just now are 94?

Am I ok to fit the 91's????

I say always go for extra load rated tyres.

The problem I have is finding somewhere with the extra load tyres in stock, and also not with a massive mark up for them....how much difference is there in a 91 to 94 tyre? How crucial will it be in winter when speeds will be a lot lower?

or is it more to do with the weight of the car?
