Tyre valves - TPMS

Anybody knows what type of tyre pressure monitoring is fitted to 2016 RS3? Are they just standard valves or are they special items that senses a drop in psi?

I had different wheels fitted and wondering if I can just use normal valves? If normal valve would it detect a drop in psi after resetting on the MMI?

The standard cars only have the TPMS via ABS sensor IIRC. No pressure sensors.

On my 2015 model I added my own sensors with digital display. It was a Steelmate kit, works great.
