Best question for DJAlix.

He done my SW, FW and Nav update.
Don’t see any benefit or new things in MMI but Nav is expanded a lot.
Your MMI might be different and allow new features, display ect.

Also how long does it take to update the system?
I assume that this has to be done from the SSD card slot.

Yes, SD card. What I had done is, latest available version has been downloaded into the card and mmi updated from it.
It takes few hours, depending on the update.
Mine was big as the car was updated from 2010 to latest 2017 versions and nav maps.
If you need only SW and FW updates, shouldn't be that long.
Best to speak to the guy as he gets the updates from dealership or something as genuine and will know better.
