upgrade the A5 1.8tfsi PETROL engine to a S5 3.0 tfs

Hello,

Hope i am posting in right place.

any advice welcome.

i am looking to upgrade the 1.8tfsi PETROL engine to a S5 3.0 tfsi CAUA engine i believe would be best engine model fit after some research as manual also.
i have a 1.8t CJEE 177 PS car, manual gearbox.

what else do i need to be aware of and purchase?

new brake system?
new gearbox?
new axles?
anything else?
are these necessary?

i was hoping the original gearbox would be ok

i would employ a qualified mechanic of course.

Surely it would be easier and cheaper just to sell your A5 and buy an S5?

hi, yes and thanks. i think now that is the best plan. I will be sad to see the old girl go! but after to speaking to lots of people, cut my losses! the 3.0tfsi seems to be the best choice to buy and get that tuned to 380 hp.
