Hi what’s the best method of getting the cheapest oil & inspection service on a 2019 Audi thats on contract hire from VWFS please? As I understand it it must be done within the dealer network. Thanks

I use an Audi specialist they update Audi Uk with service ands Audi dealer confirmed just keep the invoices fraction of price to main dealer.

If its PCH it HAS to be a franchised dealer. It's written in the contract you signed:

Section 9.4.1 "You agree to make sure that the Vehicle is serviced and maintained strictly in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations and that scheduled servicing and necessary maintenance is carried out only by authorised Audi dealers"

Best way is go to a specialist within 15 miles of the main stealer, get a written quote and ask the stealer to price-match. They usually do. Then go back to the specialist and give a tenner of the £200 you've just saved for his/her trouble:welcoming:

Thanks and the contract does say that it must be serviced in the dealer network so much as I'd like to take it to an independent frustratingly I can't. Problem I'm finding is that trying to get a written quote for a price match is impossible. I've called 5 indies and got verbal quotes ranging £175-£300 but they've obviously been here before so when I ask for it by email or hardcopy they all decline and that's without asking for all the genuine Audi part numbers itemised on it. Can't say I blame them! So its between a rock and a hard place so far.

Possibly illegal ?
It's a contract voluntarily signed by both parties. Therefore possibly legally binding. Also it's their car not ours. Their train set.
Build the expense into your PCH calculations and accept the cost. I still think it's worth it.

My only issue is the utter incompetence of my local franchises. However, as it's not my car the only worry is when it breaks down, as mine did 3 times post being taken to said dealerships:rage:. This may well be my last Audi unless I move counties.

When they say in line with manufacturers recommendation. Would the MMI service interval indicator count as the recommendation?

Mine was initially showing first oil change at 14500 miles but is now saying 17000 miles.

I‘ve seen somewhere that VWFS/Audi allow 30 days/1000 miles grace if a service is delayed does anyone know if that’s true?

Hi,
I have a A4 2.0TFSI, 18 months old with 9600 miles on. Today I got the warning for Oil change after 32 days; inspection seems in 6 months time.

I am not really sure how these work? if I go for oil change then will I need inspection service after 5 months? Car is through leasing, so I want to do the minimum required (which needs to be done in Audi)....
