VCDS Error codes

Hi, I am normally found lurking around on the A3/8p forum, however I also own a 3.0 tdi Touareg. Listed below is the latest scan as EML has been on for a couple of weeks with no difference to the drive. Was wondering if someone could guide me in the right direction as to what is required to put right the problems. Although I have the VCDS cable I am not ofay with how to use it to its full potential. Help would be grateful as to what Open Circuit means on glow plug and what the Intake Manifold Runner Control actually is. Part no's would be an added bonus. Also in Central Conv- why have all those part no's come up if there is no fault? Cheers.

Either your glow plug has developed an open circuit (opposite to short circuit) and is faulty, or the connector has fallen out, or there is a break in the harness leading to it. Most likely is a dropped off connector, next step test the glow plug with a multi meter for resistance. If Zero Ohms, then it's new glow plug time.

Inlet Manifold runner - either the plastic rod has broken, or a flap inside the inlet manifold has broken, or it simply need recalibration - a dedicated Touareg forum will be able to help more. It's common for the plastic rods to go.

Thanks veeeight for info. Also found some info on a4 b7 forum this morning from nov11 and this was very helpful. After following one of the tips I have sorted the problem with no cost. Took off motor from bank 2 to swap to bank 1 and when i got to bank one found that the arm had come adrift from the ball and socket. Connected this up and put back bank 2, rescanned and hey presto no EML. Problem with glow plug was trapped wire causing a loose connection to the plug. Happy bunny again.

Repair was short lived. Turns out that the socket on the arm has worn and keeps popping off. Does anyone have Elsawin to furnish me with part no. please? My local stealers are about as good as most of them (pretty useless) so I would like to go armed with part no. to order a new one. Cheers

Its etka not elsa mate & tbh better getting part number from etka at dealer as part numbers given on forums can sometimes be wrong or the part number of the part itself which it should be stamped with.
