New user first post not had much luck searching so I’m reaching out for help.

I recently met up with a local forum member to get some VCDS tweaks done however there were a few mods that we simply couldn’t do on my ‘62 plate A6


Code: 
 10. Disabling engine stop when opening driver's door.
Recode the Central Convenience module to STOP the engine from turning off when you get out, having moved the car.

[Coding - 07]
[Long Coding Helper]
Click on the red byte (below) and in the binary code you will see: 00000111
Change it to: 00001111
ie. with 1111 at the end not 111

Tab into the next bit box and you will see the code change to 0F (013F062220B9000083200904200104070000000000000000000000000000 to 013B062220B90000832009042001040F0000000000000000000000000000)
[close the long code helper]

There was no red byte to click on.

This could be done but when saving the changes an error message popped up about a module ( sorry can’t remember what it said exactly ). So we left it as a precaution. Is this normal to get the error?

audi upgrades
OK well without that we can't really see what your car has or doesn't have. I'd say its just the affected modules not being compatible with the changes you've tried.

It's probably just what I said, the firmwae within a module just isn't compatible with what you're trying to do.
