Hi, I have a 2011 A4 Allroad 2.0 manual .
over the last week when driving I can feel a very very slight vibration
it feel like as if it's like a buzz type vibration as if someone was holding an electric toothbrush to the bottom of your shoe.
there is no noise just this and it's really annoying.
when the car is at idle you can feel a slight vibration through the floor.
I’ve only had the car for two weeks and as a deal I had the timing belt and water pump changed, I don’t know if this has any relevance?
I’ve read on the forums that it could be DMF or engine mounts, timing issues?

I’ve also plugged in a fault code reader and that is all clear

Any help / suggestions would be appreciated

thanks

Instead of a fault code reader, any chance you can get it scanned with VCDS, in case it's something a little more sensitive?

Interesting you've had the timing belt and water pump done recently. Ideally if you can talk to the mechanic if there was anything unusual about the change. With car in the service position, then they have access to all the pulleys and bearings. Not unknown for a bearing to have roughness, but they would identify that at the belt replacement.

As it's not speed related, then I'd be looking at engine and gearbox mounts. Take back to the garage you purchased it from would be my advice. Incidentally, what's the mileage?

Hi Spartacus, thanks for the suggestions , I was kinda thinking (hoping) it’s something simple like engine mounts rather than engine internals .

I’m hopefully taking it to a Audi/VW specialist I used to use tomorrow .
With any luck he will be able to either recognise the issue or at least find it with a bit of investigation . the car has done 99k

Sorry mate something came up and I couldn’t get it down to the garage,I’ve just not had the time to have it looked at yet, but it’s not gotten any worse(yet). .
Hopefully get it in, in next couple of weeks .

I’ll let you know the outcome
