As there seem to be quite a few threads on here re stolen or even cars under threat of being stolen, heres a deterrent, its not a perfect solution but its what Im going to do....
The car I had before my Audi had Vin window etching and it was a brand new car. I was surprised and thought that it had gone out of fashion years ago. Anyway Ive been doing a bit of research and its something some of the car clubs in California offer for free as a deterrent as car theives tend to avoid cars with it on as they would need to replace the windows. Kent police also recommend it. Its £24.95 for a kit inc delivery which you put on the windows yourself and registration to the system with your details is also included. Anyone interested can PM and I will pass on the details.
