What did you do to your audi today

The edges are razor sharp so I have spilt a fair bit of blood cleaning them! And yea they take a fair while to clean, a good sealent helps a bit
Put Gyeon Cure on mine last wash as a quick fix and they were a doddle to clean.

Finally gave in and washed it. A torrential downpour yesterday took a lot of the dust off it (hooray for ceramic coatings). Quick blast with the pressure washer and then Optimum No Rinse wash and dry panel by panel. This stuff is invaluable for hot days and a black car. Oh and it's low water use for the inevitable hose pipe ban.

Oil change, and was probably one of the easiest oil changes I've done in a long time.

Just made a custom heat shield for my intake set up. I still need to sand it down and spray, but for now I'm just testing it out.

Currently trying to update the firmware and then the maps.

How did you get on? I did mine at the weekend, the firmware update went ok but I had trouble with the maps, I think I did something wrong.

The instruction I got weren't that clear but the guy I bought them from was really helpful. The maps took about 4 hours to update, but it all went well in the end.

Changed from this (original 4 spoke multi-function)

To this (s-line 3 spoke multi-function and paddles):

(At the weekend...) Changed the engine oil (Millers Nanodrive CFS NT+) and filter (Mann OEM) and fitted an aluminium transmission mount insert. Which I can report gives absolutely zero additional NVH. Something I'm sensitive too and was anxious about, before fitting it.

Put a coat of Collinite 915 (old school I know) on the Allroad. Snowfoam, washed with Meguiars Gold Class, tar removed, clayed and waxed. Sunroof still leaking.

I will start got myself some brake caliper paint as mine are a bit rusty will make a start weekend.

Will post some before and after pictures :)

Hi mate,

Are you taking the calipers off to do this? I want to paint mine for similar reasons but not sure about removing them, might be slightly outside my scope of mechanical expertise..

Nice work A4A4. Would like to say those are really good tyres, but only had on my A6 a couple weeks before I changed cars...have a habit of changing cars after tyre change...need to stop that bad habit

Getting mine fitted tomorrow, so will then go through the cleaning and C5 coating process on the summer alloys.

You going to cost yours while they are off?

Cheers mate. Planning on doing them tomorrow and will be using my DAS6, not sure how it is going to work on the small areas but we'll see.

Will be looking at using S20, and might pick up the CCoating from my detailer tomorrow whike I am there to pick up my CF mirror covers which are getting coated as well.

The plan is to fit the alloys either on Thursday or this weekend.

Bought two new tyres for it after the rear NS picked up a nail this morning and deflated very rapidly on the A2.
