What did you do to your audi today

Borrowed a mates Carista adapter and enabled needle sweep and beep when unlocking and locking the car. I was surprised how much could be changed, quite an impressive bit of kit for not a lot of money! Was tempted to disable stop/start as the rare time I forget to turn it off it sends me nuts :) I’ve left it for now but may have another play with it at some point.

Yeah great bit of kit.
I have same but turned the beep off as it sounds poor but did disable start stop - only works when I turn it on now which is never as it to drives me nuts

:rockwoot:

Is it easy to do with Carista then?
Having just disabled it (it's actually a change of the default state) on mine, with VCDS, it wasn't what I'd call easy. I.e. you have to add numbers to specific channels etc...

Yeah best have a spare and £165 ain't too bad audi wanted £265 or similar.

Having a go at fitting a CF boot spoiler and trying out some black plastidip on the rear emblems.

Unfortunately it was chucking it down after I’d done the plastidip on the emblems and they started to peel on the drive down the motorway so I took them back off and will try again another time.

Detailed the 530d as its getting sold tomorrow to make way for another Audi will miss the tourqe monster..

Washed it, and noticed that water was taking along time to drain from the scuttle area on the nearside below the windscreen. I removed the plastic cover from the bulkhead, cleared the nearside drain hole bung, and refitted it.

I received my black Audi rings from eBay so was finally able to add them to the grille to get the OEM look to my RS4 grille.

FYI, i have used cable ties to hold it in place temporarily while i establish if i like the positioning as is, or if i feel the rings should be higher up the grille.

Me personally I wouldn't move them any higher, they look perfect where they are

Spent 6 hours on the beast today, replaced the mechatronics board filter and fluid. Now it's running fantastic with my dsg tune and ecu tune!! Time for stage 2.

Got a Revo stage 1 remap on my 2010 A4 Allroad 3.0 tdi. Just the subtle upgrade in power and torque I was looking for.

Washed her after almost 2.5 - 3 months. Been just jet washing it using BH Surfex HD in between and it needed some serious TLC

Changed the oil. Wow was it ever black. First time since buying the car a year ago. Changed the air cleaner element. Wow was it crusted with dirt and plant detritus. Couldn't find the spark plugs to change them, but have figured out where they are hiding :)

Jacked up the car to get under there for an inspection and oil change. Set the parking brake first. After letting it down I now get the "Parking Brake Malfunction" notice on the dash. Sheesh! Add that to the TPMS Malfunction and Oil Sensor Malfunction errors.

I fitted some cheap eBay supercharged badges 2 days after getting the car. I hated the "V6T" badge.

Fist time filling up the car at shell the guy next to me commented on the car "lovely car mate, V6 turbo, very nice"

Trouble is within 2 months the paint had stated to flake off around the edge, but to be fair the paint was very dull and thin to begin with.

Nitro Morse and some enamel paint and if anything I'm disappointed I did them in the standard red and black they started as.

Some enamel lacquer once it has fully dried and they should last this time. I wonder what other colour combinations would look good.

I'd move them further up, they're just slightly too low imo.

This is how mine came installed in the grille when I ordered it online.

Nice job buddy. I would've preferred Carbon fibre maybe depending on the colour of the car.

I agree with you on that - my only gripe about the RS grille is how low the plate sits and it proved to be a pita to move it up to the stock position. It makes me want to change back to stock grille every time I look at it

I feel like the one I got from ebay mimics the OEM positions of the emblem and plate quite well! Look at this comparison:

I agree buddy. I would've preferred this over mine had I found the grille at that time. Yours def looks spot on. Will try again in summers to see if it can be moved further up just a little bit.

I didn't like the S4 badge that came with my grille - awful quality tbh. I bought a new OE S4 emblem and being lazy to find a bracket that would allow me to fit it.

Spacers. 20mm rear, 15mm front. Maxton front splitter.

Didn't think 20mm would do much but it does.

Yup. Stock S5 suspension. Really pleased with the way it looks on just 19s.

It would look better a bit lower, but the difference the spacers have made to the looks I'm not to fussed about getting it lowered now.

Looking good buddy but imho a bit lower with these spacers on would be just the perfect stance!

Is there any rubbing? I'm thinking about spacers on my s4

No rubbing at all and I've been all over the speed bumps that plague my estate, one of the reasons I'm probably not going to go lower for now. Front splitter didn't hit either so happy about that.

If the shocks go then I'll definitely put on coilovers so might drop it a touch when that happens.

Mine is an S5 so not sure what the standard S4 spacers are but I'm sure there are lots of posts if you search. They do make a big impact to the look of the car, but I've had no change of feel to the handling.
