What do you do for a job?

100% carer, hopefully it’s a good thing rather than a bad thing.
You’d be surprised how much of a job it is trying to stay safe when you’ve got a misinformed populace illogically taking steps to increase the spread of an airborne contagion.
I’ll leave this here for the IT bods who may be able to relate, maybe even laugh about being in the same spot…

Thank you for the 'like' toooldforboyracing but now I've moved to a 100% carer - not sure that's a 'job' but you gotta do what you gotta do :superman:
Absolutely 100% a job, difficult and emotional job but as we know you wouldn’t have it any other way John.

Thankfully I don't have to deal with the f***wits on site these days. I just have to put the pieces back together when the generator arrives back at the depot. Even the problem solving skills of some of our field engineers can be baffling.

Data Engineer.
Sounds boring but its quite fun as we're always looking at the horizon and figuring out how to get there.

Landscape garden designer to the stars, now semi-retired.
Garden Landscaping - now there's a skill I wouldn't mind picking up. I've been wrestling with how to landscape my property for the last two years. Tons of research, but not confident enough to pull the trigger on much of it, so little actually gets done.

Mental Health Nurse (I'm unsure if my warped sense of humour came before or after).

I'm a bit of a mixed bag tbh - I work in Music Production and also Education/training (FE/HE). I've done it for over 20years now. Also qualified (Masters) in Strategic Management.
I'm thinking this might be the year to look at other opportunities before I'm too old.

I've only had two jobs since I left school back in 1990

I worked in the developement of inket and glossy paper coatings for big companies until 1997.

At that point I went to work for Royal Mail as a stop gap while I went back to study...27 years I am still there.

Not what I planned but the job worked around my children and pays well so I have no complaints except the knackers knees and hips LOL.
