Wow! Lots of fancy job titles on here, I'm just a humble fish-smoker.
 
erm... does this get you high, iv heard of people smoking all sorts of crazy things like crack, but fish. whats the buzz like ?

Awesome, nothing like a lungfull of lightly salted haddock with an oak and beech smoke background.

I am a Prototype Development Technician for Jaguar Land Rover.

I test/develop prototype engines for future models basically...

Do you know G Hull by any chance? He works in the Birmingham plant.
 
I work offshore on a rig but also have a Hgv class 1 so keep my hand in now and again but just wondered how do you get into this male "escorting" thing?, but top bloke mate! :D

a m8 of mine said to me , u fancy do abit of modeling i said no why he says women love it, so i said ill give it a go , i went for an interview and she asked me to drop them , and since then they ring you give you the clients and then go out and see them !!
 
In a nutshell I fix trains. From Apprentice to senior engineer over the last 16+ yrs.
Currently working on the install of a new signalling and automated driving system on the new Underground trains. The Metropolitan, District, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines for those who know/use the 'Tube'.

Paramedic .... Quite a few tv programmes out there at the moment give you a little taste of what it's like, but not the full picture.

99% of the time it's a brilliant job :)

Nope, only guys I know from Birmingham plant are the ones who were in the same year of my apprenticeship programme.

Ah no worries - hes in powertrain designing cranks. - moving to the newly built engine center soon.
 
I'm a manager at a firm of accountants based in Southend.

I deal mostly with company accounts, corporation tax, statutory audits etc but courtesy of the 31 January filing deadline, I've spent the last month or so doing tax returns... Been qualified for just over 5 years now and been working in the profession since 2001.

I am an engineering geologist, particularly oilfield or petroleum related geomechanics - primary objective being to minimize hole stability related problems that cause down time on drilling projects.

For those that don't understand the above: I work for London Underground doing track inspections & very minor maintenance.

Im still studying, started quite late in life, nearly half way through my degree at the mo. I have confidence il end up in oz working for anglocoal depending on the economy surrounding it. My best mate is a geologist and has worked for them for close to 2 years now, we studied together at college and he pursued it straight away whereas i took a 5 year break.
Im glad im not the only one anyway, some of the lads on here take the **** for my love of rocks
 
Diesel Generator engineer, for one of the largest generator hire companies, Just been bought by HSS for a touch under 20m iirc. Love my job, **** working on cars, 50ltr v16 cummins (approx 1800bhp@1500rpm) is where its at :D

Specialise in syncronising and Deep Sea Electronics Control Panels
