I haven't updated since i changed jobs. i changed from a pipefitter working in a dockyard, to a nuclear welder, working in the same dockyard on the submarines, i now spend all day sticking stuff together with TIG/TAG, MMA and MIG are too messy for us to be playing with.

At the moment I'm on a classic car restoration course so will see what happens with that.

I did have some plans, possibly delusions to become a pro golfer but due to injury that didnt work out, also decided it wasnt really my bag would rather get my hands dirty with the cars, golf clubs can be very weird places !

S**t job but good pay , basically 8 years in the rope access trade doing insurance inspections, media blasting, industrial painting + remedial works. Pays the mortgage and keeps me in decent cars so can't complain too much.

I work as an IT Service Analyst (2nd Line Application and Software support) for Manheim Car Auctions LTD.

It's quite exciting as it involves two aspects I couldn't live without. (Cars & Computers).

Job can be quite stressful at times as we support not only our internal auction centres but Retail which involves UVL's (Used Vehicle Locators) for BMW, Audi, VW, Peugeot and Citreon to name a few.

Good Job I really enjoy it, not a bad wage either with good career prospects.

I work into IT, I'm currently transitioning from Senior Team Leader to being a Third Line Engineer. More project work and less silly mundane jobs especially admin. Also I now won't have to deal with awkward engineers and spoon feeding people. Well I probably still will have to! I'm also working as an IT manager at grammar school for half the day which is keeping me interested.
