Well guys its been one of those days :(

Before i start, As some of you know I've been living with these fault codes for a while now:

17526 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating: B1 S2: Open Circuit
P1118 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 35-00 - -

Anyway.....

Recently my car has been getting good boost on the boost gauge but I'm not feeling much torque like i used to also my MPG has dropped a lot over the last few weeks.

So today i thought i would would clean the throttle body (as i have always done every 6 months or so) and for the first time clean the MAF sensor.

First i unplugged the connector on the MAF to find this:

I then VERY carefully removed the sensor from the housing (i managed to get a 5 point torx) and sprayed some contact cleaner on what looks like a little metal strip inside the MAF And let it dry for about an hour.

Once everything was fitted and connected up i started up the engine only to see this sign on the dash:

So i fired up VagCom and did a scan and I'm getting these codes:

17526 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor Heating: B1 S2: Open Circuit
P1118 - 35-00 - -
16486 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70): Signal too Low
P0102 - 35-00 - -
Readiness: 0110 1101

01314 - Engine Control Module
013 - Check DTC Memory

Notice that the:
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 35-00 - -

Has gone ?

Now am i right in thinking that the 01314 has come on because of the MAF error?

I also cleared the codes for the MAF and unplugged it and I'm getting the same 16486 code with it unplugged so do you think I've ******** up the MAF by cleaning it or do you think it could be the plug?

P.s i don't need links to ross-tech...lol

Also logging block 002.

Before cleaning the MAF:

RPM = 3000 , G/S = 10.08

After Cleaning MAF:

RPM = 3000 , G/S = 0.22

did you plug the MAF connector back in again?

If you find out anywhere that sells that MAF connector insert, can you post it up here as mine completely fell out last time I moved my heat shield.

If you're getting more than 14MPG then you're defo ahead of me lol

Oh Thanks,

I was hoping that you could buy just the red plastic divider.

Have you checked that the pins haven't backed out of the plug?.

MAF = FUBAR

Replaced the MAF today with a new bosch one (still cant sit down....lol) and so far no fault codes.

My boost seems to go up a lot quicker now and holds well but the car still doesn't seem like there's much torque :(
