What is a 'Facelift' B8

Seen this reference a few times, but not sure what it is referring to.
When was this introduced and what were the differences.

B8.5 is facelift mate.
62 plate onwards my13 if I'm not mistaken?
As to the differences I'm unsure as I haven't had a pre facelift

Well I can't tell much difference (if any) between the front of mine and a 2015 model !!!!!

There were quite a few changes whole front end redesigned including lights grille fog lights ,rear lights .

I think mine is a facelift then if the fog's changed from round to square(ish)

Looking wise, the headlight revision is the biggest change.

Interior changes include a three-spoke steering wheel and a redesigned ignition key.
I had a letter from Germany and they call it B8.5 v2 Sport Edition plus for a new uk Black edition.

B9 model will be introduced later this year. Be interesting to see how different that looks...

The grill is easiest thing to spot, in line with other facelifted Audis it has the top corners chopped off

Can many parts of the b8.5 be retro fitted to the b8?

B8.5 also has a different centre differential, it's a crown gear diff that can split the power 80% front or rear depending on conditions, it's lighter too and more economical power delivery l through it.

Interior digital displays are differnt too, gone have all the red and now its white/grey on black, looks a lot more classy.
