Hi Just had a remap and the guy used a company called evolution chips, its all good, but i was hoping for a bit more, mine was puting out 197 and its added another 35, im thinking of a decat down pipe and a miltek wich combined should give another 10>15 bhp, does this sound safe to you guys or to much as will be close to 250!?

mine is mapped to a sensible 250bhp, not as much as it could have been for a factory engine but torque is much better.

I think torque, rather than horse power, is how people rate the limits of these engines. Too much and you start bending rods.

As far as I'm aware, you'd really struggle to bend a rod on the stock K03, even with a HPFP, intercooler and breathing mods.

I think rods are recommended once you go for a big turbo or start really wringing out a K04.

If it was my money, I'd get a HPFP and a sports cat. The K03's party piece is monstrous torque from 2k, and a HPFP really helps this.
