I have a 2017 A3 Saloon - 1.5 TFSI S-Tronic that I’ve had from new. A month and a half ago my car started making these intermittent noises. It was whenever I was completely stationary, when I started to accelerate it would make this mechanical noise. I took it to Audi and they checked the gearbox over and everything seemed in order, they couldn’t replicate the noise. Now this check was done the other month and my car was in warranty.
The sound started becoming more common ever since and I’m worried something is going to fail. Problem is I can’t even take it back to Audi now as I’m now over my warranty. Question is, if I reported this problem before my warranty ended but they weren’t able to replicate etc and the problem got worse where do I stand? Would they honour fixing it as I reported it before my warranty ended and they couldn’t solve it/find a problem? I have also put a link to the sound below.
