So I'm planning on getting some done after reading a lot.

- Parking sensor display (rear parking sensors)
- Hill hold assist
- Mirror dip on reverse
- Needle sweep (or is this standard on S1?)

Any others worth doing?

Thanks mate.

Regarding the VIM, what are you using to mirror to the screen?

I'm not at the mo. The product I was going to use seems to have been discontinued (they haven't said it publicly but I know a distributor - it's all a bit odd and I'm hoping it becomes available again soon!). It's called a Kivic One.

I'll take a look into that, I was thinking of something like an Apple TV connected to a hotspot with an HDMI to RCA converter in the middle to the AMI

Yea the Kivic One does all of that in one for you. Very cool product if you can get hold of it!

mirror dip in reverse is standard,just keep the mirror adjuster set to the passenger mirror and when you engage reverse gear it will dip it.

I've obviously been spending too much time on "forum which can't be named specialising in A1's" and got confused on which is standard on the S1 haha.

It was an option in the brochure I believe, maybe it is standard with certain packs

Reverse dip is only included if you have folding mirrors;

Option: PAF Door mirrors – folding.* Includes automatic kerb view function, which tilts the passenger mirror downwards towards the kerb when reverse gear is engaged

That makes sense. Can it still be done afterwards via VCDS if folding door mirrors aren't used?

Yes, but I don't think the memory function works, so it only dips a specific amount, not back to where you last it dipped to.
