Im having some work done to my car at VW Midlands soon and I'm just getting all my parts ready, Basically I'm putting on a set of alloys that are ET43 and I'm looking to buy some 10mm spacers for the front and back.

What length wheel bolts would be the best size for these?

Thanks

10mm longer than you have now

Im not sure. Most decent hubcentric spacers will come with bolts.

I got 40mm bolts to go with 15mm spacers so go for 35mm

Just take a bolt out & measure it TBSure

Depends on the spacers. My rears bolted directly to the hub and the wheels bolted straight to the spacer with the original length bolts.

Standard bolt length I believe is 28mm . You also need to get the correct bolts there are 2 types Radius and tapered seat. All OE wheels have radius seats and nearly all aftermarket wheels have taper seats.
Better to have the bolts slightly longer rather than shorter. Make sure you get spacers with the correct centre bore which is 66.6mm

yeah i was thinking 35mm from reading online, yeah i need a set of tapered. My wheels I'm putting on are 19 x 8.5 et45 so ill grab some 10mm spacers to give it more of a flush look.

Anyone recommend a brand for locking nuts at all?

I went with H&R 10mm up front and 12mm on the rear,

Would you say its best to go with the 35mm or 40mm to be safe?
