I've recently bought an A4 avant 3.0 tdi S Line 2012 face lift so B8.5? I've been unsure of the wheels as although they look like the standard S Line wheels, they tend to stick about more than on other A4's I've seen. I managed to take a photo of the details inside the rim today and they are 8.5J H2 ET29 - I'm assuming they aren't A4 but out of interest can anyone advise what they're off?
At some point I'd like a set of 19" Rotor alloys but I want to make sure I get the correct ones so could do with knowing the ET number and part number ideally.

Thanks in advance

The standard offset for 19-inch 8.5J wheels on an A4 is ET43. So if yours are ET29, they're sticking out by an extra 14mm each. This site is a handy guide for Audi wheels up to 2014. You'll see on here that the part number for an A4 Rotor wheel is 8K0 601 025 CN.

Thanks for the quick reply, I wonder what the legalities are of the wheels? Here's the car

Remove one of the wheels and check the part number. If it's ET29 I'll bet they're 8T0601025M which are A5 wheels. The correct A4 fitment 18" wheels are 8K0601025Q and offset is ET47.

For 19" Rotors I think you'll want either 8K0601025CN or 8K0601025AR :icon thumright:

I managed to get my phone around the back of the wheels to take these photos of the numbers
20201101 160940
20201101 161043

Looks like they're off an A5 then, at least I know now
What I'd like ideally are 19" Rotors but are A4 ones all et43? and the two part numbers kindly quoted by Willenium, what would be the difference between them?
Thanks

Wheels with the part number 8T0601025 Jooles are Audi A5/S5 Coupe/Sportback(A5CO), see: https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+a5+s5+coupe+sportback/a5co/2012-724/6/601-601070/

For a 2012 A4 avant see: https://audi.7zap.com/en/rdw/audi+a4+s4+avant+quattro/a4q/2012-636/6/
Thanks, thats an informative website. This is probably a daft question but will going from 18s to 19s make a difference to the speedo or does the lower profile tyres used on the 19s make up for it.

Yes and no all depends, check here: https://tiresize.com/comparison/

Yep as suspected that's a set of A5 wheels you have there. I was tempted to buy a couple for the rear on mine but was a bit concerned they might poke too much. Ended up just changing for a different set of wheels instead.

Between the two part numbers I presume maybe manufactured by different companies or are different revisions but ultimately the fitment should be identical. 8K (A4) offset is ET43 19x8.5J. If you go for 8T (A5) fitment then they'll be ET33 19x9J.

Yes I can't make my mind up whether I like the look or not - they remind me of how my old twin turbo XR4x4 looked with the Turbo Technics wheels on

They dont poke out too much, certainly no legal issues. My wheels sit out slightly more than that on spacers

I thought mine did have had spacers to begin with

I think it looks fine, does it rub at all?
I've not had any weight above 3 people in yet but no, not noticed any rubbing. I suppose there must be advantages with these wheels like less body roll. I'm still not convinced whether to keep them or what other style to go for if I can't get a good set of rotors at the right price

Wow- that's a blast from the past- always wanted one of those when I was running XR4x4s (had 6 of them):grinning:

Here she is but even though it felt like a flying machine at the time - 2.9 v6 twin turbo 4x4 225bhp, 270lbs/ft torque and 0-60 in 6.7 secs (would be lower but 2nd gear couldn't get to 60!), was quicker than the standard 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth, my a4 3.0 tdi has 242bhp 369lbs/ft and 0-60 in 5.9 secs and is alot nicer place to be, may not have the 80s feel, classic status (or cassette player) but I'm almost an Audi convert

Beautiful- thanks for posting the photos.

had a set of those alloys on one of my cars (and so many sets of wheels back then!)

Driven one of them back in the day! Was good fun, people liked to steal them though!

Pal of mine had a brand new XR4x4 in 1986; I thought it was magnificent, and of course for its time, it was.

I wasn't flush enough at the time to run a 4x4 Cossie so settled for the more lowly XR, it was very capable....but build quality was way inferior to Audis of that era....only discovered that much later!!

Excuse going off topic from orig. question( but that's what we tend to enjoy about a good forum:grinning:)
