I have caught the front wheel of my s line alloy but rather than have diamond cut again ( as I know I will tell the difference ) I have decided to go for a powder coat reflect chrome on all 4, I have seen a wheel in the flesh and i was very impressed,

My question is where should I position 4 x axle stands under the car as I plan to take them in as loose wheels rather than leave the car

Omg! Please post pics asap as I am in EXACLTY the same predicament at the moment.

Also where are you having it done. I've found a place in St Albans that looks promising but it's a bit of a trek. Want to get don't before I take my winter wheels off ready for the spring

the place is in Hampshire near Petersfield,

I cant upload as it says the file is too large

I guess the best place for axle stands is under the chassis front and rear

What's it called. Don't live too far from there and need my wheels powder coated.

This is a finished wheel but dusty but may give you an idea

No it isn't but its just to give an idea of finish
well please keep us updated :)

I am taking my wheels to a refurb place this weekend, and need to decide if I get 2 wheels repaired with the diamond cut, or get all 4 powder coated.

I think I have read all the pros and cons of each finish, but just dont know wether to stick with the diamond finish a bit longer, and powder coat maybe a year or so down the line (or whenever i next kerb one of them)

But I'm not sure how the flat surfaces on the sline wheels will look in the same colour as the rest of the wheel. It's an expensive mistake to make.

Here's my speedlines in powder coat chrome effect. Done by the wheel specialist in Leeds.

There is a chap near where I live who has had his S line wheels powder coated in black.
Looks pretty good IMO.

Pics as promised. - same colour as OEM, just without the diamond cut finish - very happy with results
(excuse the brake dust)

Looks gook, might have mine done the same but are they lacquered as well, or is this not needed?

if you are asking about my reflective chrome, this is actually powder coat and they are lacquered

Thanks for the info, but I was asking Andy, guess I didn't make that clear - forgive the pun...

Yes I think they are lacquered as well as the powered coating - i used http://www.diamondalloys.co.uk/ and was very happy with the results.

If I ever need all 4 done again I might go for a darker shade, but if i damage a single wheel badly I can now get them repaired cheaper then diamond cut repairs, and wont end up having to replace the wheel as I have heard you can only recut a diamond wheel 2-3 times before too much metal has been removed.
