Wheel/tyre sizes

Hi everyone. I have bought a new RS3 in tangored. It’s full option except for the ceramic brakes.
I’m looking for some nice 20” wheels now, but Audi hasn’t made it easy for us. The front wheels are 19x9 ET25 with 265/30/19 and the rears are 19x8 ET46 with 245/35/19.
I was thinking about 20x9 ET15 for the front wheels and 20x9 ET46 for the rear wheels. With these sizes they would come out 10mm in the front and 13mm in the rear, which should fit if my calculations are correct. Is there anyone that has done these sizes already? Or did anyone go for different sizes?
Then tyres... the only 20” tyre which falls within the +1,5/-2% range is a 235/30/20.
Normally, 235/30 on a 9J wheel shoudn’t be a problem, but it’s a big difference in width with the 265’s on the stock wheels in the front.

I’d personally stay on 19s and keep the OEM spec. Granted the car needs to have spacers to fill out the arches, but I reckon you’ll undermine the car’s dynamic ability if you put bigger wheels on it.

I’m currently on the hunt for some decent low weight 19s for my rs3. Specs are a bit tricky to come by with the staggered fitment.

I too wouldn’t go for 20s… I would fit 18s if they would fit over the brakes and if it meant lighter wheels!

I think there’s only been a handful of cars delivered so far so you’ll have to take the lead if you do go for 20s to see what will work…

Do you have a shot from front or rear showing how much further out the wheels sit?

Weird how the front 20inch wheels look a little 'lost' within the wheels arch, but I guess 8mm isnt a lot further out

I was thinking the same. I specifically checked to see how much of a spacer I thought the car would need front and rear to pull the wheels out to almost flush and I thought that 5mm front and 12-15mm rear would do the trick. It could just be that I'm being conservative, but I'd still have thought with an additional 8mm poke on the front these would look very flush so I don't know what's going on with the look of these 20" versions.

I do wonder if this ‘early’ corrosion being reported on some PFL cars is down to Spacers/lower offset /wider front wheels flinging debris into the arch lip.

I suspect something is incorrect with the measurement, the 20inch rears have an ET of 39 which would make the outer edge 7mm further out, but it's stated they are 9 inch wheels against the std 8inch, so the outer edge would be 7+12.5 (19.5mm) further out, which it really doesnt look like in the pictures?

I agree, I think there must be something a little off. Especially as looking at them the rears appear to be more concave than the fronts which is the opposite of what the stated numbers suggest it should be.

Those are definitely a lot further out than the ones on this picture. The ones in my picture are 9x20” ET47 (with a 20mm spacer in the front), so ET39 for the rears could be correct guys.

This is what they told me

I was doing some research for MF1 wheels and if u want to keep stock wheel setup difference front and rear i need 19x 9J ET42 fronts with 20mm spacer

This reminds me of the issues that I had on my DC2 Intergra Type R.
I'm not sure it's so much the wheel offset, more that the arch liner traps moisture and debris which acts like sandpaper against the paint, eventually wearing the galv away and causing rot.
I'll be periodically popping the arch liners on mine and giving the bodywork a clean/protect as the 8y is similarly covered by some plastic.
