Whining noise

Wonder if others have had the same problem and maybe be able to shed some light on this.
I have noticed a whining noise coming from the drivers side off my S3 8P which only happens now n again and seems to get louder once i accerlerate and gets quiter once i lift foot off pedal
Now i wonder if it could be fan belt or maybe even starter motor ( starts as normal ) any other suggestions would be helpful thanks

Spray some wd40 on the aux belt, if it stops squealing change your belt as its usually this & cheapest option, if continues, it could be alternator pulley of which theres a good guy on ebay who usually does exchanges if he's still about, of which I can hopefully find his details for you, another option is the tensioner, then compressor pulley, but I honestly suspect its 1 of the 1st 2 mate.
