hi just got a new C8 A6 and wondering if any one can help with some Wi-Fi questions, is there a way (VACOM etc) to keep the Wi-Fi on when the engine is off? I have a black box camera that I can access and works be good to check when I’m car parks. Also AudiConnect only seems to get map destinations and calendars sent from phone when I connect the phone to the in car Wi-Fi, I’ve gone a subscription to the in car Wi-Fi should it not get these details without the phone being connected to the in car Wi-Fi when it has a data connection or
Do I need to change some settings? Thanks in advance

For the WiFi to work the full MMI system needs to be running, and it will suck the life out of the battery in a matter of hours so no it's not possible.

I also have a dashcam system that I can access remotely. (Blackvue)

When the car is running, its connected to the MMI WiFi system.

Then the car is not running, it fails over to a MiFi device I have in the car, that is charged when the car is running (via a cig to USB power plug). When the car is off, it has an internal battery that's good for at least 24 hours, and allows remote access to the camera via the Blackvue app.
