Will an AFN engine run on Veg oil?

Hi would my B5 tdi 110 run on veg oil?

I think so.
I run mine on Biofuel and there another user on here who runs his on veg oil I think.

It would be nice as Diesel around here's Hit 1.42 a litre! Anyone know the ins and out off the fuel pump etc and if I need to mix it?

one of the guys at work runs his pajero on veg oil. he says that he wouldnt chance it in cold weather tho as it starts to thicken up. just something to consider

veg oil is fine in almost all diesel engines, make sure your used oils are filtered and add this stuff as the oils thicken up in the cold and this stuff keeps it thinner all the time, you make need to turn the engine a few more times to get it to fire up,

well you can buy 1ltr for 99p in the 99p stores and if you go to cash and carry you can get 20ltrs for £16 in some places, im testing a 50/50 mix and all is running very well,

I've not used veg oil for about 8 months now or when ever it was that my dad stopped making it.

But its was fine.
No issues, ran smoother and got slightly better MPG.

To be honest if your car's a shed then go for it ! I have used my old IDI Ford fiesta courier van on straight vegetable oil for a few years and apart from less Mpg, harder starts and decreased performance i did not see the advantage ! Yes, i could get oil under 15 quid for 20L cans but then the starter gave me issues so i had to get a HD one, then i had to use a larger HD battery + new injectors and so on! The last fuel filter before i sold it was full of marmelade !
