window wiper motor - cowling

Help! Trying to give the wiper motor and stuff a once over to see what's stopping the wipers parking properly.

But pulling my hair out trying to take out the plastic cowling cover thing that sits next to the windscreen, over the top of the motor itself - its item 5 in the diagram attached

Reluctant to use too much force, but is it just a case of pulling ? and if so do you need to pull up, or outwards -
any hints or tips from anyone else whos done this would be very welcome!

Done - with some washing up liquid drizzled along the edge of the cowling, where it meets the windscreen, and plenty of hot water. wait, move it bit, wait some more, then out it comes. tricky to say the least!

And wipers (touch wood) now properly lined up again to the corect park position.
