WINDSCREEN MOVED......

Hi all.

Was attaching the rubber suction satnav mount and, when pushing up onto the screen in the bottom R/H corner, it moved.

It does not move from the passenger side at all.

Shall I leave it as is, or replace?

I wouldn't leave it. In fact, I would treat it with urgency as it could lead to a few bigger problems if not addressed.

At a guess, I would say the windscreen has been replaced and with there has been an adhesive failure (in how it was applied) or the substrate(s) or contact surface(s) were not treated adequately.

No big issue in removing and refitting the windscreen without any problems.

How much can I expect to pay for a refit of the current screen?

Depends on where you are and how competitive the region is. Removing glass intact requires skill and experience. If you know of a decent bodyshop pop in and ask them who they use.
