Wing mirror cover - 2006 A3

I'm trying to take the wing mirror casing off the drivers door mirror on a 2006 A3.

The current one is cracked and I want to replace it with a new one, but don't know what to do. I tried a search but can't find anything.

Pull the mirror glass itself down from top to bottom, you will feel some resistance on the motor but dont worry, they are deisgned to do that!

Once its fully pulled down you will see 2 mounting points with slots in them. Using a flat bladed screwdriver you should be able to open these clips up. Once you have 1 done chances are you can just pull up. Pull the mirror cover up vertically else you will snap the clips.

Job done! It doesnt feel right but thats the proper way, after all, they arent designed to me messed with yourself!

Yeah first one is not the same but the second one, audizine is nearly identical to the A3
