Wing mirror needed - will an A5 mirror fit an A3?

Hi all,

I need a new O/S wing mirror for my 5-door A3 2011 Black Edition.

I'm guessing it's unlikely, but will an A5 mirror fit an A3?

I highly doubt it, I imagine it may be like tying to fit a square block through a round hole! Only one way to find out, buy one and try it!

The mirror caps are exactly the Same on the A3(2010-2013) and the a4/a5 so I would imagine the
mirror unit itself would be the same .

The only part I would be unsure about is where it fits into the door .

a5 mirror is totally fiffrent base i have a mirror pm if needed
