Hi guys,

I would like to ask for some advice on my wingmirror. Basically it has been clipped and is completely broken. the case, indicator and electrics look like they are all finished.

What would be my best way of getting this fixed ? i'm concerned Audi will charge me a bomb therefore I am considering going through my insurance. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

George

I personally wouldn't recommend the insurance route, your premiums with rise come renewal time and no doubt more than the cost of a replacement. Not to mention that you will be without your car and as it's 1st party (no one to claim against) will get a little 1.0 aygo in the mean time.
If you supply the case a good body shop (insurance approved) should be able to do it in 24 hours at not a great cost, roughly £30/35 an hour+Vat then paint and materials. Not to mention most like cash/no receipt in my experience.
