Hi folks,
So my new car - less than 600miles. Wipers are new and there was no judder at all before treatment. Products purchased from Slim's detailing.
I did the following.
1. With a very clean windscreen I polished the glass with G4 and new microfibre cloth and then removed the residue with G6
2. I then cleaned the rubber on the blades with G6
3. I then applied a final pass of G2 before going to the G1 sealant
4. With the now very well prepared glass I treated the windscreen with the GI - all as per the GTechniq instructions etc
5. A 2nd and 3rd coat of G1 was applied with a 5 minute waiting time in between.
6. I then let it settle for about 15 minutes before removing any residue with a new cloth and G2
I didn't use the car for 2 days after.
Now the beading action is excellent (fully satisifed) and it is possible to drive without using the wipers if the car is above 20mph or so. At night though or under street lights whilst raining and in certain conditions I still need to use the wipers - normal of course. The issue is the judder on the return sweep. It is absolutely a noisy nightmare.
I tried cleaning the blades again but the blades still judder. I have heard that the judder should go away but I can't put up with this noise until then.
Solutions/ideas please from those familiar with the Gtechniq products?
Thanks.
