Wise to go stage 2 with a DSG gearbox?

I currently have my A3 8p remapped & I have a test drive booked this friday for a A4 3.0 2011 s tronic. As the manual gearboxes can go up to 800nm with the standard clutch I was only looking into them but there aren't that many 3.0 with manual. The cost to replace the whole unit on an s tronic is starting to worry me & put me off buying the s tronic but I know that there are folk on here who have had them up to 720nm. Rick @ Unicorn said 700nm would be no problem but I'm pretty worried. Anyone got some advice?

I am running revo stage1 + with dsg remap on my S4 B8.5. Currently on 67k and had two gearbox oil changes and have had no issues in the last 2 years

78k miles dsg s4 running 485 bhp with no issues. There's litterally hundreds of of people who have done the same with no issues.

Go for it. You'll be fine.

Edit.... Unicorn know what they're doing and have a great reputation. Trust them.
